As a child I LOVED Bubble Gum Ice Cream. It’s a core memory for me. Today I’m excited to share an easy bubble gum ice cream recipe you can make at home using your Ninja Creami. This tastes exactly like the pink bubblegum ice cream of my childhood and it was a huge hit with my children. This recipe tastes similar to Baskin-Robbins bubble gum ice cream.

Ingredients
- Milk I used Fairlife Milk (I like to use their whole milk or nonfat milk for ice creams). You may also use a non-dairy milk.
- Vanilla Pudding Mix Choose regular or sugar free.
- Bubble Gum Flavoring Choose a bubble gum extract.
- Gum Balls You will need bubble gum candy to mix into the completed ice cream. If you prefer a smooth texture you can skip this step, but I enjoy a little actual bubblegum in the recipe.
- Pink Food Coloring (optional) You can add 2-3 drops of gel food dye to turn your ice cream pink or blue. You can also leave it its natural color if you prefer. I love the pink color.
About Ninja Creami
I have tried other Ice Cream Makers and I love the Ninja Creami most of all. The best part about the Creami is that the texture is absolutely perfect every time! The Creami makes it easier to create ice creams that are very healthy and made with fewer ingredients. For example one of the best ice creams I have made was simply fresh mango frozen in coconut milk.
Here are the basics about how to use a Ninja Creami machine. Begin by freezing your desired ingredients in the provided container for 24 hours. I usually keep several flavors in my freezer- ready to use. After freezing you choose between settings such as ice cream, sorbet, gelato and mix-ins. I always use the “ice cream” setting first. After the first spin the ice cream will be a chalky texture. Add more liquid into the center of the container (either milk or water) and “re-spin”. After the second spin, it is ready to eat! At the point you can also add mix-ins and do a “mix-in” spin to combine them throughout your pint. It takes around five to ten minutes to complete a pint of ice cream.

Instructions
In your pint container combine milk, pudding mix, bubble gum flavoring and pink food coloring. Whisk together. Cover the pint and freeze for 24 hours.
Use your Ninja Creami machine on “Ice Cream” setting.
Remove the pint and take a look at your ice cream. If you think the texture is a bit chalky (or not as creamy as you want) make a hole in the center of the ice cream and add a tablespoon of water or milk. Then, use the “re-spin” setting.
Last, add the bubble gum pieces and choose the “mix-ins” setting to combine them. You can garnish with another gum ball. Enjoy your ice cream right away.

Tips for Making
- Add Protein Add a scoop of your favorite protein powder, such as whey powder, to any mixture for high-protein ice cream.
- When to Serve It’s best to spin Creami ice creams right before eating. If you freeze them again for more than a few hours you may find the ice cream is hard again. If the ice cream is frozen hard set it out for 15 to 20 minutes until it is soft enough to eat.
- Label If you make multiple flavors at once, be sure to label each flavor.
- Other Candies & Flavors If you’re not into bubblegum candy pieces, try other candies such as M&Ms, chocolate covered sunflower seeds or colorful sprinkles. If you don’t enjoy bubblegum you can use vanilla extract instead for a vanilla flavor. You can also swap the flavor extract to create any flavor you like.
- Extra Creamy Replace half the milk with heavy whipping cream or heavy cream for an extra creamy finish.
- Natural Coloring If you prefer to use a natural coloring try red sweet potato or beet vegetable juice to add coloring.

My childhood favorite!
Bubble gum ice cream was my absolute favorite as a kid!
I used to like bubble gum ice cream but then my teeth started going south. I suspect most people don’t so much grow out of it as they no long can eat it without doing some serious dental damage. Talk about an expensive treat, lol!
Yum yum yum! Definitely going to try this!

You got me when you wrote bubble gum and completed the sentence with icecream.

What a fun idea! I’ve also seen bubble gum flavoring in the baking goods aisle of my grocery store. That might be a more covert alternative, as it wouldn’t color the ice cream and you could surprise people with the flavor.
FYI, the last “your” in the entry should actually be “you’re” (If you’re concerned about the bubble…). Sorry but I’m a huge stickler for grammar!
this sounds delicious! want to go home and try it now!

I read this blog daily, and I know you have had comments like this one before- it is so disheartening to see so many grammatical errors. This post has particularly atrocious grammar: “kids” is plural, not “kid’s”- that is possessive; “your” is not short for “you are”; and it should be “supposed,” not “suppose”- those words have totally different meanings. The only reason these grammar mistakes make any difference at all is that they detract and distract from the quality of your content. I really hope you will take more care with your writing in future posts.
Um, YUMMMMM! Looks delishhh! Must try this 🙂
I don’t know how strong of a flavor you would get from soaking the bubblegum in the ice cream mixture, but you could use bubblegum extract instead (they sell it at the craft stores in the candy making aisle) and then add the bubblegum in the late stages of freezing as you did.
Bubblegum milkshakes are pretty weird and awesome as well and we even made bubblegum flavored icing for cupcakes with it.
I love how you actually used gum to sweeten the milk! I think if you started with a sweet cereal milk (for example, Lucky Charms) and added the gum in that, that would make a phenomenal, sweet ice cream treat! 🙂

This is totally amazing, guys!
Awesome!
You’re making me miss Hubba Bubba.. 🙂
I’d never tought that making bubble gum ice cream at home is possible! and, actually, that’s why I have a little idea and chalenge maybe for you, Emma – what about butterbeer? You know, this one from Harry Potter? One time I saw somewhere a recepie but unfourtunately I can’t remeber where. So – you think that you’ll manage to come up with something like that? Because it would be just AWESOME! 🙂
And, well, I just wanted to add that your work here is simply amazing and I love checking this blog even a couple times a day. You both have no idea how inspiring you are and how grateful I am sometimes that you have here so many beautiful things. I’ve started following this blog some time ago (what, year and a half? two years?) and it really is nice to see that people can do wonderful things if they just want to. So – thank you, Elsie and Emma. For making this world a little bit better and giving thousands of great ideas. It’s even strange somehow that I want so badly to throw a party just because I saw some of your pictures! 🙂
Good luck and greetings from Poland! 🙂
